Hi Doris,
Thank you for your prompt response.
We have reviewed our understanding of the licensing terms, and we would like to clarify a few points regarding our deployment scenario. According to our interpretation of the licensing for desktop applications, a deploy location refers to a geographic location where the desktop application is installed. This implies that multiple desktops within the same geographic location (e.g., our organization's headquarters) should count as a single deploy location. For web applications, we understand that each deploy location corresponds to a unique server machine (source: e-iceblue License Subscription).
In our case, we utilize Spire.PDF for both internal desktop and web applications. Our web applications are deployed across some servers, and all our desktop applications are installed within a single geographic location at our headquarters in downtown Rio de Janeiro.
Based on this, we calculated our deploy locations as the sum of the web application servers plus one deploy location for all desktop installations, as all desktops are physically located at our headquarters.
Could you please confirm if our understanding is correct?
Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could send us a detailed list of the current deployment locations associated with our licenses to our registered email (we have 2 licenses: one for Spire.PDF and another for Spire.DOC). This would help us audit and identify which deployments correspond to our web applications and which to our desktop applications, allowing us to plan our next steps accordingly.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
