I am adding a image as a layer to pdf document.
How to maintain dpi.

What do you mean the final pdf is 300dpi ? Do you mean resolution (DPI) in "Edit">"Preference">"Page Display">"Resolution" ? Please provide us following information to help us do an investigation.
1)the original\result document.
2)the code you were using.
3)the ideal result document you want.

I have tested your codes and checked the result PDF, I see it is 150dpi, so what did you mean the final pdf is 300dpi ?
Also, here is screenshot showing the result PDF dpi, please check.
