Free Spire.xls with Sophos

Good day,

I have been using the Free Spire.xls to 'password' protect some excel files without issue. My employer did an upgrade for cybersecurity software and now the process that uses Spire.xls to 'password' protect files is interrupted and IIS Express is stopped by Sophos and marked as 'random ware'.

Do you have any suggestions or has anyone encountered this condition.

According to your description, I installed the Sophos software and then created a simple project and deployed it on IIS, but I did not encounter the issue you mentioned.

Besides, could you please confirm that if you don’t use our product, will your project files be marked as “random ware”?
