Hello,
I'm trying to use your software for managing PDF documents.
I downloaded: pdfviewer (free)
When I try to install the controls in VS, I get errors. My Visual Studio version is 2015. Installation requires VS 2010 license, and then issues an installation error.
I hope to have been clear and to succeed in solving the problem.
Thanks for your kind collaboration.

I had trouble adding the items in the toolbox but was able to get them in using solution 2. But they are grayed out in the toolbox and when I try and drag them onto my form is will not allow me. This is using VS 2008 vb.net. Any ideas on why its not working?

Dear jhenley151,

Thanks for your inquiry.
Please try to use the third solution in the document, and I could add the contol into VS 2008 vb.net successfully using that solution. If there is any question, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Betsy

I re added the controls using the third solution you suggested and the items are still grayed out on the toolbox. I attached a screenshot of it.

Dear jhenley151,

Thanks for your feedback.
Please make sure that the version you were using could match the framwork. If the issue still exsits, please provide us with following information for investigation.
1) OS information, e.g. Win7 64bit
2) The type of your project, is Winform or Web form
3) The target framwork of your project
4) The version you were using, e.g. Spire.PdfViewer.Forms.dll V2.12.10.6335

Besides, could you please check whether you could add the control in higher version, such as VS2010 and VS2013 ?

I have this same issue using option 3. I am running VS 2015. My target framework is 4.5. I was able to add Spire.DocViewer.Forms.dll for NET2.0, NET3.5, NET4.0, but when I tried NET4.5 or NET4.6 the system gave an error stating "The file c:\program files (x86)\e-iceblue\Spire.DocView\Bin\NET4.6\Spire.DocViewer.Forms.dll cannot be opened.

The controls that were successfully added (2.0, 3.5, 4.0) are all disabled (grayed out).

The new version does not include NET4.5 or NET4.6 folders in bin. I get the same error when I try using the new NET4.0 version. Please let me know if I am missing something.

Thanks.

Hello David,

Yes, we deleted the NET4.5 and NET4.6 folders which have errors in the new version. You mentioned that you got the same error, did you mean that the controls are disabled (grayed out) in your application? Is your application type ASP.NET WEB? If yes, please note that our Spire.DocViewer doesn't support to use in ASP.NET WEB app at present. Otherwise, please provide your application type and the screenshot of your error details.

Sincerely,
Lisa
