Hello guys, hope you are well
I'm having a weird problem that I'm a bit confused.
I have one template that I'm currently using and working fine.
When I copy that file that it's working and paste, and test with my tool it still working.
But when I open that copied file and save without any change (just open save and close), stop working
Then I have the error: Unexpected XML tag on the line of Workbook.LoadFromFile().

The main question is, why when I save the file it stops work and start to bring some XML tag error?

Due some privacy I can't post the Excel here.

I'm Using Office 365
file extension is .xlsx
OS: windows 10 Pro
Free Spire.XLS 7.8.0

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry.
Since you are using an old version, I’d suggest you download the latest Free Spire.XLS for .NET Version:10.10 to try again. Also, you can test your case with our latest commercial version Spire.XLS Pack(Hotfix) Version:10.10.6, which is more stable and contains more bug fixes than free version.
If the issue still happens after trying, please provide your test code as well as your input file for further investigation. You can send them to us (support@e-iceblue.com) via email. Don’t worry, we promise to keep your file confidential and will not use it for any other purpose. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Elena

Yeah I tried both and they worked fine,
but the free Spire after 7.9 as documentation says have some limitation, so my report couldn't go for more than 200 lines.
the paid one worked but have the evaluation warning.
I was just thinking if it could be something wrong with the excel file instead of change my spire version.

Hello,

Thanks for your feedback.
Sorry to tell you that we do not maintain the old version. The bug fixes will only be included in the latest version of our Spire.XLS. We recommend you use our latest version. Hope you can understand.
Besides, regarding the evaluation warning message, we are willing to provide you with a temporary (one month free) license to help you remove it. If interested, please contact our sales team (sales@e-icelue.com) to get it.

Sincerely,
Elena

One last question, the version that I'm using now Free Spire.XLS 7.8.0, would be comparable with Spire.XLS Standard or PRO?

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry.
Both Spire.XLS Standard and Pro are our commercial versions. Compared with the free version, the commercial version will be updated regularly and is more stable and contains more bug fixes. Moreover, it does not have limitations in reading/writing XLS and conversion processes. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
Elena
